Our experienced staff is especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your child's needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is highly skilled, well trained and strives to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient.
Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant or hygienist, and our office staff has years of experience treating patients with the highest level of service. We stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Michael Scholl – Practice Manager
Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Education and Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. He was employed for several years working with at-risk youth in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He most currently was employed with Aetna insurance as an account manager. He is also the proud father of two boys. He enjoys skiing and snow shoeing in the winter, fishing and hiking in the spring, summer and fall, and spends any remaining free time reading and running. Mike brings a strong knowledge of business and insurance to our practice while maintaining an exceptional relationship with our patients!
Jessica – Front Office Manager
Jessica's extensive background in customer service makes her uniquely qualified to address the broad range of duties to provide scheduling team oversight as well as assisting with practice management. As a mother of two, she understands the parental concerns that come along with pediatric care . Her role in our office enables a unified approach to patient family relationships to keep children smiling and parents happy. Jess has been growing with our practice since 2013 and enjoys the great Maine outdoors with her family.
Michelle – Certified Dental Assistant
Michelle received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern Maine Community College. She has over 20 years of experience in the dental industry, first working as an orthodontic assistant for five and a half years, and has been a dental assistant for another ten years. She and Dr. Scholl have been working together for the past nine years. Michelle is a proud mom and enjoys spending time with her family camping. She is a huge asset to our practice and team. She is wonderful with kids, and is well versed in all aspects of running our office. Her background in Early Childhood Development gives her an ability to relate to and work with children in a way that we all very much appreciate.
Nicole – Dental Assistant
Nicole brings her reception experience to us from a pediatric dental office in Connecticut, and we are excited for her to expand on her knowledge as a new dental assistant! With an Associate’s degree in Business from Southern Maine Community College Brunswick campus, she is a well-rounded, contributing new member of our office team on both the front and clinical sides of the practice. Nicole has been married since 2015 and is an accomplished dressage horseback rider. Chip, a miniature horse, and Katahdin, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood quarterhorse cross, keep her busy and happy in her time off.
Sarah – Dental Hygienist
Sarah received her degree in dental hygiene at the University of New England in 2010. She has been an important part of Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry since the beginning of 2012. She truly loves educating children about oral health and it shows. When not working here with us, she loves being on the ocean and spending as much time as possible with family and friends.
Amber – Dental Hygienist
Amber graduated from the University of New England dental hygiene program in May 2012 and joined our team shortly afterward. She helps our patients take great care of their teeth as a hygienist and has expanded her qualifications to be certified for local anesthesia, holds a permit to administer N2O, and is additionally trained as a dental assistant. When not at work, she loves spending time with family, being outdoors, boating, jet skiing and snowmobiling.
Lacey - Dental Hygienist
Lacey came to our office as a part time hygienist with previous pediatric experience, and we are thrilled she is now a full time member of our team. She graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta, Bangor campus, in 2012 with a degree in dental hygiene. Lacey is efficient and kind, which makes for a quick visit with lots of smiles! Her two daughters are her top priority out of the office, and she works diligently creating a natural lifestyle to keep her home and family healthy.
Samantha– Dental Hygienist
Samantha is excited to work with our close professional family and be involved in community events. She graduated from University of New England in 2014 as a Registered Dental Hygienist, is certified to administer local anesthesia, and earned her Independent Practic Dental Hygienist license in May of 2018 prior to joining our practice. Sam grew up in Mechanic Falls and continues to explore the outdoors as much as possible with her family and puppy, Wallace. Working in pediatric dentistry is always fun and exciting for her as she gets to know her patients, watches them grow and change, and inspires a fun oral health experience.
Kimberly– Dental Hygienist
Kim is a native Mainer and spent much of her youth playing sports and riding horseback. Her positive interactions with dental professionals during her adolescence inspired her to become a registered dental hygienist (RDH). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of New England and is certified to administer local anesthesia. Away from work, she spends her days with her husband and three children, a rescue dog named Will, and a Maine Coon Cat named Ansel Adams. She is an avid traveler, enjoys writing, playing piano, sewing, hiking, and yoga. Kim believes everyone deserves to be heard, no matter how small. Her objective during each dental visit is to ensure your child feels welcomed, whilst providing a calming and fun experience- a perfect fit for our approach at Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry.
Anna– Dental Hygienist
Anna was raised in the Boothbay region, graduated from UMA in 2013 and has been working in pediatric dentistry since then. Anna prides herself in creating a comfortable environment for her patients and getting kids excited in creating healthy oral habits. Outside of work Anna enjoys spending time with her two kiddos, her husband, and their yellow lab while doing all of the amazing things Maine has to offer.
Ashley– Sterilization Technician
Ashley is joining Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry with a CNA and childcare background. Her care for others and attention to detail shows in her approach to supporting clinical staff as a sterilization technician. She is a Maine native ready for adventures hiking, at the beach and concerts, exploring new places, and enjoying life with friends and family and her dog, Bo.
Anna– Certified Dental Assistant
and Sterilization Technician
Anna joined our team to support our hygiene and restoration operatories as a Sterilization Technician and has since grown her role as a Certified Dental Assistant. She is a Woolwich native, graduating from Plymouth State University in 2014 with a B.A. in Communications. Anna enjoys skiing at Sugarloaf and sailing with her dad when she's not busy with her two tuxedo cats and Labradoodle. Her willingness to learn and grow with a new work family is a pleasure to be around.
Julia – Treatment Coordinator
Julia joined Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry in 2017 with customer service and childcare experience, making her a perfect fit to learn more about dentistry and insurance while getting to see children every day. She has worked as a nanny and traveled abroad as an Au Pair in Bamberg, Germany, studying German at Euroschule and Volkhochschule, a complimentary opportunity for a life-long learner who loves to travel. Julia enjoys hiking, sailing, yoga, and cooking, and we couldn't be more pleased for her newest role in our practice as Treatment Coordinator to help families navigate insurance benefits and financing options to acquire necessary treatment in both our office setting and at our partnering hospitals.
Amanda- Scheduling Coordinator
Amanda joined our team in summer of 2020, bringing with her an extensive background in customer service. She is local to Brunswick and is an avid supporter of local businesses. Amanda acquired her Liberal Studies degree from SMCC in 2021, with plans to continue her education. She enjoys reading, writing, cooking, spending time outside exploring many of Maine's state parks.
Hannah– Scheduling Coordinator
Hannah is passionate about caring for our patient families. She brings a spark to our Scheduling Team with her appreciation for oral health and her own family's enthusiasm for visiting the dentist. Her three young children fill her heart and every spare moment, and she wouldn't have it any other way. Hannah is a delight to have in the office, driven to serve, and will surely seize the opportunity to help you feel welcome and appreciated during your visit.
