Meet Our Doctors

EmilyEmily B. Scholl, D.M.D.

Dr. Scholl is a pediatric dentist. What does this mean for your child? Pediatric dentistry is one of nine recognized dental specialties of the American Dental Association. This means that Dr. Scholl is a specialist in the field of dentistry dealing particularly with the oral healthcare of children, from infancy through the teenage years. She has completed two years of additional specialized training (after the required four years of dental school) to prepare her for treating a wide variety of children's dental problems. She is also trained and qualified to care for patients with medical, physical or mental disabilities. She is a mother and understands not only the needs of children, but the questions parents have. She loves her job and looks forward to seeing your child soon. During your visit, please be sure to ask any questions you may have.

Dr. Scholl earned her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. She went on to receive her doctorate and certification in pediatric dentistry from the University of Connecticut.

To stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of pediatric dentistry, Dr. Scholl maintains active membership in numerous prestigious professional organizations, such as the Maine Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maine Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. She is also a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Her board certification means that she has gone through a rigorous examination process with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Only dentists that have completed a residency in pediatric dentistry can sit for the board certification examinations. Board certification tests the knowledge and problem-solving abilities of a pediatric dentist.

Dr. Scholl is the proud recipient of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Award, the South Park Inn Dental Clinic Award and the School of Dental Medicine Community Service Award.

Dr. Scholl grew up in Lewiston, Maine, but spent several years away from Maine for schooling. She happily came back to Maine in 2007 and worked as a pediatric dentist in Scarborough and Lewiston before deciding to open her own practice. She, her husband, and two sons reside in Brunswick. Outside the office, Dr. Scholl enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, skiing and camping.

Dr-Erin

Erin Saucier, D.M.D.

Dr. Erin is a pediatric dentist and the perfect fit for our office, as she creates a safe, fun-filled environment for each patient and helps each child build a positive relationship with dentistry and good oral health for life. She loves working with kids, their spontaneity and energy bring joy to every day and she cannot imagine having any other career. She is here to care for your child’s needs and address any questions or concerns you may have about their dental health, growth, and development.

Dr. Erin grew up in Lewiston, Maine and received her Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Maine (Go Black Bears!). She completed her dental degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Dr. Erin’s pediatric training took her far from New England to Tampa, Florida where she attended NYU Hospital’s pediatric dental residency.

After the completion of her formal training, Dr. Erin has remained passionate about continuing to develop as a pediatric dentist. She is active with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and is a board certified diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Erin has been practicing in rural Texas since graduation and while she will miss the little Texans she cared for, she couldn’t be happier to be back home. We are so excited she has decided to return to our great state of Maine and to become a part of our team.

In her spare time, Dr. Erin is dedicated to volunteering with vulnerable populations. Some of her most unique and rewarding experiences were serving as a pediatric dental professor at the University of the West Indies Dental School in Kingston, Jamaica and caring for the dental needs of children of migrant farm workers in Florida. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and participating in a variety of outdoor activities. She is ecstatic to return home to Maine and experience all the wonders this state has to offer while being close to family and friends. If you have any suggestions for fun hiking or unique restaurants, be sure to let her know!

Emily Floyd, D.M.D.   Emily Floyd 1

Dr. Emily has always felt driven to impact children’s lives through dentistry. Her positive experience working in a dental office throughout high school and college in Rhode Island, solidified her career goals, bringing her to University of New England for her bachelor's degree in Medical Biology. She fell in love with Maine and continued to University of New England College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Emily earned her Advanced Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, earning the title of Chief Resident, at Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York.
We have been fortunate to get to know Dr. Emily through her many job shadowing visits during dental school and residency and now have the great honor of considering her part of our Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry family. She demonstrates a gentle approach to ease dental anxiety, builds caring and playful patient relationships, and provides a comfortable atmosphere to communicate with parents.
Dr. Emily and her fiancé enjoy reading, the outdoors, and cooking at home as well as the variety of restaurants and beaches her adopted state has to offer. We couldn’t be more fortunate to have her choose to pursue her career and start her life in Maine.
